Here
in Michigan, Proposal Two won by an overwhelming margin in the
November 7th, 2006 election. (Almost 60%!) What is Proposal Two? Here it
is...word for word:

A PROPOSAL TO AMEND THE STATE CONSTITUTION
TO BAN AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PROGRAMS THAT GIVE PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT TO
GROUPS OR INDIVIDUALS BASED ON THEIR RACE, GENDER, COLOR, ETHNICITY OR
NATIONAL ORIGIN FOR PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION OR CONTRACTING
PURPOSES
The proposed constitutional amendment would:
• Ban public institutions from using affirmative action programs that
give preferential treatment to groups or individuals based on their
race, gender, color, ethnicity or national origin for public
employment, education or contracting purposes. Public institutions
affected by the proposal include state government, local governments,
public colleges and universities, community colleges and school
districts.
• Prohibit public institutions from discriminating against groups or
individuals due to their gender, ethnicity, race, color or national
origin. (A separate provision of the state constitution already
prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color or national
origin.)
Should this proposal be adopted? YES or NO.

This is something Dr. Martin Luther King DREAMED of! Finally, to
be judged on the content of their character and NOT by the color of
their skin! And so easily worded, my eleven year old understood what it was about.
But guess
who is trying to kill the very thing Dr. King dreamed of? That's
right! Liberal Democrats! The same Liberal Democrats who
are "loud and proud" when it comes to stating that "the people spoke on
November 7th!" But the same liberal hypocrites that cry out that
we're not educated enough to understand Proposal Two, so THE COURTS
must decide for us.
Now do you
see why your "protest vote" might very well backfire? You might
just get a few more liberal judges on the bench during this lame duck
session, and Proposal Two....the issue that you spoke overwhelmingly in
support of....is history.
All because
you stayed home and believed the liberal media when they said
Republicans didn't have a chance. All because you believed the
liberal news media who stated Iraq is in shambles. All because
your candidates abandoned their CONSERVATIVE principles.
So much for Dr. King's dream....
